MORNING BREW
Obviously, I like newsletters (since I write one), but I haven’t really shared any other newsletter that I’m subscribed to, so today that is going to change! Morning Brew is a newsletter that I discovered a few weeks ago, and I have been reading it almost every day since. It is a free, daily newsletter that covers a wide variety of topics such as news, stocks, business, technology, the economy, work, politics, and so much more!
Morning Brew usually starts with an introduction, stating a fun fact or making an announcement of sorts. The second part is almost always stocks. It shows the major stocks, such as the Dow Jones, S&P 500, Nasdaq, 10-Year, and Bitcoin, as well as the stock with the most significant change (for good or for worse) that day. After this, the newsletter goes into multiple different news sections, covering many different topics. It picks the most interesting events and stories. When it comes to politics, I haven’t noticed much bias at all. Of course, everyone has some bias, but they seem to do a pretty good job of just stating the facts. Finally, Morning Brew also has a games section where they have multiple different games, such as crosswords, quizzes, word puzzles, etc. This makes the newsletter even more enjoyable to read!
The best part of Morning Brew is that you can read it in just a few minutes each morning. I normally take less than 5 min to scroll through this newsletter. I never read the whole thing, but instead just pick out and read the topics in the newsletter that I find appealing. This newsletter keeps me up to date on the news and other topics featured in Morning Brew. I would definitely recommend getting subscribed to Morning Brew! It is used by big business representatives, as well as regular people like me. It is a great way to stay informed in just a few minutes each morning! Watchlist Wonders
TRON AND TRON LEGACY
A few weeks ago, my family watched the original TRON (1982), as well as TRON: Legacy (2010)! I thought both of them were pretty good and interesting, but which one is better? When it comes to most movies, I like the original better, but does that apply here? Let’s find out!
TRON: Kevin Flynn, a computer scientist, gets sucked into the computer world. While he is in the computer world, he must survive the Master Control Program who is trying to remove him. He teams up with TRON and Yori, two computer programs, to survive and destroy the Master Control Program.
TRON: Legacy: Sam, the son of Kevin Flynn, is intrigued by his father’s mysterious disappearance. While trying to find him, he gets trapped in the cyber world. After entering the world, he discovers that Clu is trying to take over, not only the cyber world, but escape into the real world and take over. Sam works together with his dad and Quorra to attempt to stop Clu!
So, which is better? Both of the stories are thrilling, and while the plot is pretty predictable, it is entertaining. Both movies have a similar plot line, but it is also different in many ways. I would say they are different enough for TRON: Legacy to be considered a sequel with a similar storyline, rather than a remake. For the plot, I will say that the original might be a bit better, but honestly, not by much. As for characters, both movies had pretty good characters. The characters were developed more in the newer movie, but the characters in the original TRON were still enjoyable. When it comes to visual effects, the newer movie obviously takes the cake. While TRON’s graphics and CGI were ahead of its time, now they are seriously behind the times. It was honestly a little hard for my family to get through the movie because the graphics were pretty bad. It is still an enjoyable movie, but the graphics in TRON: Legacy are a million times better!
Overall, I would say that TRON: Legacy is the better movie! That isn't to imply that TRON is a terrible movie, but I think TRON: Legacy was a great remake/sequel. It had a decent storyline, great graphics, and also some nods to the original movie which was pretty cool! Both of these movies are mostly family-friendly (it is PG for sci-fi violence and mild language). If you are a sci-fi or computer fan, I think you will truly enjoy these movies! You can watch them both on Disney+!
Tech Thoughts
RIMAC NEVERA ELECTRIC HYPERCAR
I have only talked about one car in this newsletter, and that is the Tesla Model 3, but today I want to talk about another car. Now, unlike the Tesla, I haven’t actually ridden in this car before or even seen one in real life. With the Tesla, I actually got to see it and ride in it for a few days, but that is not the case for this car. Nonetheless, the Rimac Nevera is really cool, so I’m going to talk a little bit about it! I discovered this car from a MKBHD video (click here to watch it for yourself, since he explains it much better than I can). This car isn’t practical, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend buying it, but it is a really cool car! The Rimac Nevera was designed by Rimac, and it is only the second car created by Rimac. Their first car attempt didn’t go super well, but this car is pretty awesome!
What makes this car awesome, though? Well, to put it simply: this car broke 23 World Records in one day, which is the most records achieved by any car in a single day ever! Let’s take a look at the insane statistics! It can achieve a top speed of 258mph, go from 0-60mph in 1.45 seconds, and 0-180mph in 9.22 seconds. When it comes to power, this car has 1813 horsepower! The craziest part of all of this is that this in an electric car! It is powered solely by electricity, and the 120 kWh battery pack can produce up to 300 miles of range (which isn’t terrible for an electric car). Not only are the specs of this car crazy, but it presents a sleek and flashy design. The exterior comes in multiple different colors that are simply stunning. It has a sleek shape (providing minimum resistance), a spoiler (for increased speed and braking), and Pilot Sport 4S tires (which allows this speedy car to cling to the ground even on rough surfaces and bad conditions). This car is very well-built, using lots of carbon fiber and other sturdy and luxurious materials. Perhaps the coolest part of this car is the ability to change drive modes. The Rimac Nevera has 5 drive modes which automatically adjust the torque, steering, and aerodynamics: Range (only rear-wheel drive; for everyday driving), Cruise (also for everyday driving, but has all-wheel drive), Sport, Track (the most possible speed), and Drift. You can also adjust these settings manually with a separate knob on the dash, allowing you to fine-tune your torque, steering dampers, and aerodynamics exactly how you need them (or want them).
Obviously, this car isn’t practical at all; the range is not great, it doesn’t have much trunk space, it can only seat two people, and most of us don’t need a car this fast. If you do, for some reason, want to buy this car, it costs a whopping $2.5 million! (Now, you probably don’t want to buy it). Plus, there are only 150 produced, so good luck getting your hands on one! Nonetheless, this is a crazy car, and the stats it was able to achieve are beyond impressive! I hope you now think it is as cool as I think it is! You can learn more about it here.

TOP 10 DISNEY WORLD RIDES (RIDES 1-5)
Two weeks ago, I gave my first five rides in my top 10 list (rides 6-10). Note: There was an error on that post. I had the rides numbered 10-14 when they were really supposed to be 10-6. It is fixed on my website now if you want to take a look at it again. I have also re-listed those rides below to recap, before getting into the new rides! Enjoy!
10th Place: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
9th Place: Rock n’ Rollercoaster
8th Place: Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
7th Place: The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror
6th Place: Expedition Everest: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
5th Place: Avatar: Flight of Passage: Simulator rides aren’t always my favorite. I prefer “actually moving” in a ride such as a rollercoaster, but Avatar: Flight of Passage, is a big exception to that! This ride is simply spectacular! When I rode it for the first time a few years ago, I was absolutely stunned at how thrilling and fun this ride really was! You feel like you are really there in the world of Pandora, riding a Banshee! Everything from the movement, the air blowing in your face, and feeling the Banshee breathing, makes this ride surreal!
4th Place: Space Mountain: While this is one of Disney World’s older rides, it is still a fantastic ride! Space Mountain is a fast, thrilling, space-themed ride in the dark! Though this ride is a little rough and jerky, I think that is part of the fun of it! Space Mountain is a classic which has been in my top 10 list since I went to Disney World for the very first time!
3rd Place: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance: In my opinion, this isn’t really a ride, but more of an experience! Sure, there is a ride included in this experience, but there is so much going on in this “ride” that I consider it to be an experience. Before this Disney trip, this was easily my favorite ride because there is so much to like about it. There are a few different rides and shows before the “actual ride” even begins. The theming for this ride is probably the best of any ride I have ever been on! If you are a Star Wars fan, I 100% recommend this ride!
2nd Place: TRON Lightcycle Run: TRON Lightcycle Run is the newest ride at Walt Disney World and the second best! The theming of this ride is great and really transports you into the world of TRON! The initial 60mph launch is easily the best part of this ride! The rest of this ride doesn’t disappoint, though, and it is really a lot of fun! I have only two small things I don’t like about this ride: 1) it doesn’t last very long, and 2) it is a little uncomfortable since you are sitting on the Lightcycle in a weird position (though it makes a lot of sense why Disney did that if you have seen TRON). Other than those two tiny critiques, this is an outstanding ride and an easy second!
1st Place: Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind: Even though I don’t like putting one of the newest rides in first place, it is pretty obvious to me that this is the best ride! The theming is amazing, the backwards launch is exhilarating, the music is fantastic, and the ride itself is just a lot of fun! This ride is unique in that the vehicle can actually spin as it moves. The spinning doesn’t make you dizzy, though, as it is a gradual spinning. Although the pre-shows get old after the 2nd or 3rd ride, everything else about this ride is astounding! This is easily my favorite ride!
There you have it! Those are my top 10 favorite rides at Walt Disney World! I would love to know what your favorite rides are! Do you agree with my rankings? Do you disagree? Is there a different ride you think should be on this list? Let me know in the comments!
SPEED! Fast read newsletter, Tron is fast, fast cars and fast rides!
I need to go back to Disney! I rode Avatar and loved it, but your favorite 3 rides had not yet been built, so I need to go ride those!!
We did ride a Tron ride in Shanghai, China Disney and I’m guessing it’s similar. That was one of my favorite rides there :)
Avatar ride is my favorite. I think I have told you before that I rode Space Mountain the first year that it opened. My siblings and I believe that it slowed down after that first year.
